GRILLI RADIO will explore some of the more digital aspects of the foodscape. Grilli kiosks are an important part of local food culture in Finland. Small street kiosks that open at night to sell sausages, burgers, and other hand-held fast food to people on their way home from drinking. Slowly grillis are being pushed aside by other fast food joints. Grilli Radio foregrounds the grilli as a street interface to the where_are_we_eating? radio broadcast and invites you to join us on a walking / listening tour of grillis in central Helsinki and to explore the grilli as a microcosm of Finnish life with all the drama of high opera...

SYDNEY: Foodhalls and Intimate Dining

The Sydney event will juxtapose the public food-space of the food-hall, cafeteria or eatery with the more intimate experience of dinner with friends around a table at home. Pre-recorded audio of the dynamic and hectic domain of the food-hall eatery will be mixed with the sounds of an event based dinner party, with the resulting mix undergoing both random and human initiated cut up and recontextualisation, during this event. Dining @ 8pm local time, with the support of Sydney College of the Arts, and remixing for breaky.
